PAG Refrigeration Compressor Oil – Texlube 909 Series

Product Overview

The TEX-909 series includes ISO VG46, VG68, and VG100 grades of synthetic polyalkylene glycol (PAG) lubricants specifically developed for automotive air conditioning compressors. Formulated with double-end-capped polyalkylene glycol and high-performance additive packages, these oils offer excellent thermal stability, low ash content, high viscosity index, outstanding shear stability, and superior lubricity. Most automotive and truck A/C compressors manufactured in Japan and the United States are designed to operate with R134a refrigerant and require PAG-type lubricants. VEG-909 demonstrates excellent compatibility with R134a and meets the lubrication demands of modern mobile A/C systems.
Blue Texlube drum labeled PAG Oil_TEX 909 Series, representing polyalkylene glycol lubricant engineered for automotive A/C compressors using R134a refrigerant, with strong thermal stability and shear resistance.

Specification of PAG Refrigeration Compressor Oil – Texlube 909 Series

  • Chemical Stability: Excellent chemical and oxidative stability enables long-term operation with minimal maintenance.
  • Compatibility: Compatible with a wide range of materials commonly found in refrigeration systems.
  • System Optimization: Low pour point prevents oil solidification in evaporators, ensuring stable system performance.
  • Excellent Lubricity: Provides outstanding anti-wear, anti-seizure, and anti-corrosion protection for safe compressor operation.
  • Formulated with high-quality double-end-capped polyalkylene glycol base oil and carefully selected additive packages, this lubricant is designed for commercial refrigeration systems and automotive A/C applications using HFCs (such as R134a) and HFOs (such as R1234yf) as refrigerants. It is also suitable for open or semi-hermetic compressor systems operating at evaporating temperatures above –50°C.
  • Utilizing “sealed PAG” technology, this lubricant provides effective protection for compression-type refrigeration systems, significantly enhancing overall lubrication performance.

Polyalkylene glycol (PAG) oils are highly hygroscopic and tend to absorb moisture from the air. Excessive moisture can lead to foaming inside the compressor, potentially affecting system performance and reliability. To minimize this risk, exposure to open air should be kept to a minimum. The lubricant should be charged into the compressor unit under a nitrogen blanket or similar protective environment to prevent moisture contamination.
